Surf Life Surf School PTY Ltd offer a variety of surf packages to take beginners to become intermediate surfers and intermediate surfers to progress to advanced surfers.

Surfing is not as easy as 1, 2 , 3 but requires hours, months and years of training in and out of the water to keep progressing and for you to go to the next level. Our range of surf packages will help you reach your surf goals in a shorter time than when we learnt to surf all those years ago.
What We Offer
Private Surf Packages
Learning to surf is a daunting task on it's own, but it doesn't have to be and you don't need to learn to surf on your own.
One of our qualified surf instructors will guide you through the surf basics and build on that foundation so you can progress in your surfing with technique and tips that will last a lifetime.

Choose between our private once-off surf lesson (1 hour or 1 hour & 30 minutes) or surf packages ranging from 3 - 10 lessons.
Time durations of 1 hour or 1 hour & 30 minutes apply to multiple surf packages as well.
​
Your private surf packages will set you up with confidence in the ocean, how to start with a winning pop-up, paddle techniques to avoid lower back and neck injuries and more.
​
Surf Lessons include the use of surfboards and wetsuits.
​
This surf package is suitable for the solo traveller or local who want to get into surfing.
Group Surf Packages
There's nothing like sharing moments with family or friends and surfing brings all the fun to the table!
​
Group lessons range from 3-6 people per group (The Crew Surf Package) for a more private family or friends group setting.
​
Lesson time options: 1 hour or an hour and 30 minutes (Consider everyone's fitness level when selecting your surf package).
​
Surf Lessons include the use of surfboards and wetsuits.
​
This surf package is suitable for friends travelling together or locals who want to get into surfing.
Monthly Memberships
Surfing is a sport that is dependant on nature, or should we rather say we are dependant on nature in order to surf.
Either way learning to surf takes months and years of commitment to progress.
​
For this very reason we created the Monthly Membership options for locals or travellers who are staying in South Africa for 3 months or longer to have the opportunity to experience growth in their surfing and have weekly accountability to progress.
​
The Monthly Membership requires a minimum of 3 months enrolment with weekly committed lessons.
​
Options:
- 3 Surf Lesson x 1 hour or 1 hour and 30 minutes sessions.
- 4 Surf Lessons x 1 hour or 1 hour and 30 minutes sessions
​
Surf Lessons include the use of surfboards and wetsuits.
​
This surf package is suitable for travellers or locals who want to get into surfing.
Balance, Breath & Paddle Fitness Training
Wait what?!?
I need to train to surf?
​
Well this depends if you are taking up surfing as a lifestyle or just a once off fun day.
​
If you are trying surfing for one day there is no need to train before your surf lesson. You will need that energy for your time in the ocean.
On the other hand if you are wanting to get into surfing or make it part of your lifestyle then we recommend you combine land training with ocean training.
​
Through the Balance, Breath and Paddle Fitness Training you will discover how to link your breathing with specific surf movements to maximise your pop-up and turns, increase your fitness level to handle bigger set waves, strengthen your paddle fitness to catch more waves etc.
​

Join us in 2024 for a Selah Surf Retreat where you can unwind, surf daily, eat delicious meals, walk to the beach, connect with others and enjoy nature.
​
The Surf Life SA Team will be working with each person on their surf technique, underwater confidence, boost fitness levels and gaining a bigger understanding about the waves, especially identifying how to catch the right wave for themselves.
​
Special Guests will host sessions throughout the week.
​
Each Selah Surf Retreat is limited to 10 people.
